Invite team members, assign roles, transfer ownership, and manage access to your InvoiceScript installation.
Users and Roles
For: owners managing team access.
Where: Settings > Users, or navigate to /settings/users.
User list
The user list shows all team members with their name, email, role badge, and status. Below the member list, pending invitations are displayed separately.
Inviting a user
Click Invite member to send an invitation email.

The invited person receives an email with a link to set their password and activate their account.
Pending invitations
Invitations that have not been accepted show in the Pending invitations section with:
- Email address
- Assigned role
- Date sent
- Actions: Resend (send the invitation again) or Cancel (revoke the invitation)
Editing a user
Click a user to edit their:
- Name
- Role assignment
Roles
| Role | Access level |
|---|---|
| Owner | Full access to everything including billing, updates, backups, and ownership transfer. Only one user can have this role |
| Admin | Full access except ownership transfer and license management |
| Employee | Can create and edit invoices, quotes, customers, and items. Cannot see settings, reports, or financial aggregates |
| Accountant | Read-only access to all financial data. Can view and export invoices, customers, and reports. Cannot edit |

Deactivating a user
Click the deactivate action on a user. Deactivated users cannot log in but their data and audit history are preserved. You can reactivate them later.
Deleting a user
Delete a user to remove their account. Their audit log entries are preserved (the audit log does not cascade delete when a user is removed).
Transferring ownership
The owner can transfer the owner role to another user from the user management page. This requires confirmation. Only one user can be the owner at a time.
Permissions
Only the Owner and Admin roles can access Settings > Users. Employees and accountants cannot see or manage other users.
